Job Description

As a Digital Marketeer, you will design, create, and maintain visually engaging and functional websites and web pages. You will collaborate with the marketing and development teams to ensure that the websites align with our brand identity and meet the needs of our users. Your role will involve design and some front-end development tasks, providing a seamless user experience across all devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop visually appealing websites that are user-friendly and responsive.
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure website content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Work with the development team to implement and refine website designs.
  • Ensure website designs are optimised for speed and performance.
  • Conduct regular website maintenance and updates to ensure functionality and usability.
  • Stay up-to-date with web design trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Conduct user research and testing to gather feedback and improve website design and functionality.
  • Manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio of previous work.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Web Designer or in a similar role.

Desirable 

  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
  • Basic knowledge of server-side languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Proficient in web design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
